Jen, the only thing that will get spoiled here is…

…leftover food and your sister. :-p

“How,” you ask?

‘Cuz we are going to make ALL our kids do chores around the house, things like washing dishes, scrubbing toilet, cleaning windows, vacuuming & sweeping floor, washing clothes, and even cooking!

All right, we won’t make them cook dinner until they turn 10.

See! When that happens, Mel will be so spoiled! 🙂

(Gosh, I gotta think of ways to make them spoil me too!!)
Oh, and no more rides in the stroller after turning 4, the latest. It stinks to have to lug that thing around, up & down, in & out of subway stations!

  1. Talking about the spoiling thing, i guess you guys need to wait at least 10 years to get these things done.

  2. Yes…that is so true. My sister is so spoiled she doesn’t eat leftovers!

Like Tom said…you’ll have to wait until your little girl is about 4-5 before she understands what a chore is and that she is responsible for doing things around the house to help. Good luck with that! Ether….you’re a slave driver!

Yes, I don’t envy you on the stroller thing in the subway. I have to lug the car seat with Talon in it everyday to the babysitter’s and it’s a little of a hassle. Wait until he’s about 20-30 pounds. I’m not lugging him in the car seat…dad will have to that!

I guess I meant to say that your child will not be “spoiled” per se, but happily and abundantly “loved” by the close relatives there. Okay?
