Our short little adventure..
Today Kaitlyn and I took a little trip out to the city. It was her first time riding the MTA. I think she liked it.. She was really good. She fell asleep and woke up a few times but was not fussy at all. So where did we go? We went to meet daddy for lunch because poor daddy had to go to school on his day off to support his club’s fund raiser and will be there all day long. We miss him very much! We will miss him even more when he goes away next weekend for a convention. =( Anyway, we ate at Dallas BBQ. Yummmm!! I haven’t been there for a long, long time. We sat at a booth so I laid Kaitlyn down next to me. We had the Early Bird Special – 2 half Honey Basted Chickens with french fries and Chicken Vegetable soup. We also ordered a half plate of Vegetable Tempura. (It’s quite big for half a plate.) We both couldn’t finish it of course so we doggy-bagged it. Good lunch!
I just can’t fathom how fast time goes by. Our 1 year anniversary is coming up soon. Well I guess after having a baby, it feels like we’ve been married longer though. Then I was reminiscing the time I was in the hospital after giving birth to Kaitlyn and how excited I was everytime they brought her in so I could feed her. That was 2 1/2 months ago. Now she is getting so big. She’s catching up to her cousin Talon. She’s already 12 lbs. Cousin Talon is 20 lbs at 8 months. Another thing is I can’t believe my cousin Brandon is getting married this year. I guess I always think of him as my little cousin. He’s 23 now. Well I’m happy for him. Congrats, if you’re reading this by any chance!
Sorry, no new pics for this entry. We haven’t transferred any from the camera yet, plus Ether is using some new program now, so I don’t know what’s going on with that. Will post some up soon ok!
Please post pics of my darling niece Kaitlyn. I’m so glad that she was so good for you guys. Talon is starting to wiggle and learn to get out of his “current” situation…usually sitting in our arms and then wiggling out to do something else. I’m sad that he’ll be starting to be too heavy for those carriers because they are lifesavers. But, he’ll be walking soon (oh my goodness…I hope not too soon…we haven’t really baby proofed the house).
I’m so jealous that you got to go to BBQ! Don’t ya love those TEXAS sized drinks? La fell in love with it until he found out there weren’t any free refills that came with it. (He sipped his drink slowly through the rest of his meal!). Tempura…I had some bad tempura on Monday and was disappointed…how can you have soggy tempura at a Japanese restaurant? Okay, it is Utah and no. 2 they were owned by Chinese people. Enough said!
You guys need to be more dedicated with putting up some pics…I have 2 jobs, an 8 month old son and I do it almost every other night!!! Not that I’m proud of it…I know how grandma and grandpa miss seeing him…that’s why. I never met Kaitlyn so this site is my only link and hope…please do it soon!
Mel, You totally wasted my masterpiece in the MSN Space by telling me you didn’t understand what I wrote. Well… Anyways…I know what “Yow Mo Gow chaw” meant. Thank you for forcing Kaitlyn (I spelled it right this time) to wear that “Happy Boy” clothes, she will hate me sending it to her when she grows up. What a ghatto uncle she might think I am. I am telling you I really enjoy seeing her grow bigger and bigger each day as I check your website. It becomes part of my life now. She is so cute. I just wanna hold her in my arms like what Ether does. I will work hard to save money to fulfill that dream to visit you ASAP. Take care and please keep in touch…
