Cry baby? Not Kaitlyn.

At least not last Saturday.

Since Mel had to work, I took Kaitlyn to see Dr. Chou last Saturday morning. She was due for 2 more shots. She was so happy to see Dr. Chou that she kept on smiling & laughing (without sound, of course). Because of that, we couldn’t get her to lie down, so Dr. Chou just gave her the shots with her sitting up.

Two more shots on the thighs

With both shots, immediately after she was poked, she looked at Dr. Chou for a moment, then turned to me & started frowning. I was expecting her to start crying, or at least after the second shot. But to my surprise, she didn’t!

The funny thing was what made her “cry” at the office wasn’t the shots, but it was Dr. Chou’s daughter. Dr. Chou’s wife & daughter came by the room to see her while I was on my way out with her in my arm. As soon as his daughter smiled at & touched Kaitlyn’s hand, she turned & cried for like 5 seconds. 🙂

She fell asleep in less than a minute after we got into the car. And she stayed asleep for almost 3 hours that afternoon.

Kaitlyn took a 3-hr nap

  1. Shots are so traumatic aren’t they? What’s amazing about them is that they make them so exhausted afterwards.

  2. Awww…she’s a big girl now. Shots don’t make her cry anymore.

  3. Kaitlyn’s so brave! She also has nice sexy thighs like her mama! =)
